Psychological effect of Facebook block

People block people all the time on Facebook. But let's talk about the psychological effects of being blocked on Facebook.

I have to say, it is very painful when someone blocks me for whatever reason. When someone blocks you on Facebook you can't view their profile anymore, you can't send them messages, and you're automatically unfriended. You click your blocker's name and it tells you "Content not available". And you can't help but think what must be going on on the person's profile.

The most painful part of being blocked is the 'rejection'. No one likes to be rejected, it makes us sad and lonely. And being sad and lonely on Facebook isn't what anyone looks up to, right? We are all on social media so feel some happiness, to escape. The thing is everyone is caught in the heat of the moment on Facebook, we say things that are out of place, we quarrel and fight and just like that someone gets blocked.

How many people are blocked on Facebook every day? Can a you take a guess? A thousand? A million? Ten million? Hundred?

The fact is no one deserves to be blocked. Facebook has so many alternatives to blocking a person. You can unfollow the person, unfriend even, or restrict. You wouldn't like to be blocked even if you're on the wrong, so let's try not to do same to others.
