Letter to the President of Nigeria

June 11, 2016
President Muhammadu Buhari
Aso Villa
Murtala Mohammed Express Way
Abuja, Nigeria
Dear Mr. President:
I wish to call your attention to the steep increase in the number of mosquitoes nationwide. This has been caused largely by the increase in construction of gutters which further house stagnant waters. Mr. President, I have a revelation to make.
Boko Haram are not the real threat, NDAvengers are not the real threat, Herdsmen are not the real threat. Mosquitoes are the real threat, Mr. President, the most dangerous terrorists of them all. We must do something about them, Mr. President.
I hereby recommend Operation Clean Sweep. You must delegate your armed forces and the Ministry of Environment to crush every mosquito, their eggs, larva and pupa nationwide. We must prevent the disease by attacking the source.
Mr. President, In Nigeria, there are about 100 million malaria cases and 300,000 deaths each year. This ranks us as the number one country with the highest number of malaria casualties worldwide. Mr. President, 300,000 deaths is more than any terrorist group can claim responsibility for in a year.
Thank you for your time, Mr. President. The country awaits your speedy reply.
Sincerely,
Victor Ipemida Enesi
A concerned citizen
