Feminism, the downside

The way girls are practicing feminism in African countries these days is highly unhealthy.





Feminism is the movement to define and establish equal economic and social rights for women. But I think women get it wrong. I think women want to use this movement to punish men. I think this is unnecessary.

Feminism is primarily a poltical venture; the right of women to vote, equal right of women to standard education and employment, equal right of women in marriages. But women are using this venture to show their true nature.

Some women now insult their husbands all in the name of feminism. Some women resign from all homely duties all in the name of feminism. Some women even surrender their children totally to their husbands' care all in the name of feminism. There are so many other damages that women now render both in their families and in society at large, all in the name of feminism.

You see, it isn't more so about equality than it has become about feminism. That word 'feminism' now has its own culture different from the word 'equality'. Women don't care about equality anymore (including the feminists), what women deeply care about is 'revenge'. Yes, the word 'revenge' could pass on for 'feminism' any day any time. Revenge for all the maltreatment of the past, revenge for all the marginalisation.

Many women today think of feminism as a role reversal, they think men should start doing what women do and they what men do. This is the disease that plagues feminism, because it sends the wrong aura.

Feminism should leverage on not what men do that women can do, but on what women do that men can't do.
