EFCC unchained

If you've been paying close attention to the news lately, you'd notice the way the EFCC has been probing companies and government officials on a daily basis.

The EFCC is a pivotal piece in President's Buhari's anti-corruption campaign. But let's talk about corruption. Can anyone in this world boast to be absolutely incorrupt? Can the President boast that he has never in his life collected illegal money for political campaign or related endeavours?

The truth is that everybody is corrupt. Yes, because ignorance does not excuse anyone from the law! Someone at the top steals money and passes it down and you get it a bit of it without knowing where it's from... for collecting the money without knowing, then you are corrupt. Just like you're guilty of aiding and abetting when a criminal hides in your house

The display of self-righteousness by Buhari's government is sickening. No one is saying he shouldn't bring previous government officials to justice, but he should understand that corruption runs deeper from the top. Would he then send the EFCC to arrest every civil servant in the country? This anti-corruption campaign is anything but practicable.

We are all bound by the chains of corruption, if you pull one person down then you have to be ready to pull the rest.
